I want to write a romantic story... advice please?

I'm not a very good writer... But I have this compelling urge to write a romantic story.

Advice?I want to write a romantic story... advice please?
Here's some ideas:

1. block out your basic plotline (ie draft it). What is the underlying plot?

e.g. boy gets girl, boy loses girl, boy wins back girl.

OR girl gets boy, girl loses boy, girl wins back boy.

OR girl gets boy then has feelings for a girl, second girl sabotages girl/boy, 1st girl faces choice and makes decision then faces consequences.

2. OK now we have some key characters. Give them faces and personalities. Pick people you know VERY well.

3. remember to describes sights, sounds, smells and scents, textures, feelings... do not just blurt out lots of dialogue that isn't anchored in a real world or draped over real people.

4. the climactic conflicts should involve feelings you have personally experienced, so you can project your feelings into the hearts of your characters.

5. Practice, practice, practice. The first effort doesn't have to be perfect (in fact, allow yourself forgiveness that it isn't an smile, then move on to version 2).

6. Find someone who will listen professionally and give constructive advice. You have my contact.

7. If you have picked STRONG characters that you can picture eaily in your mind, al you need to do is put them together in a situation and watch what they do -- and write it down. It is like watching lightning spark down a series of earthing-rods as blue-white spectral ';flames'; flicker in the night air, with the soft clean smeel of ozone.

8. It doesn't matter WHAT you write, just write! The world NEEDS more writers to counteract the march of technology and drum-machine repetition....I want to write a romantic story... advice please?
Watch a few romantic movies, that can help a little.

Try to get an idea about the personality of your charaters. They need not have a lot of things in common, maybe they fight all the time. Be sure to make them realistic. If you have characters who are ordinary, maybe your readers will be able to connect more, than if you have, I don't know, a rich fella who sees a poor or middle class girl and falls in love at first sight. I for one will fall asleep after the very first page! And don't make the guy say a lot of mushy things just like that. He needs to express his feelings, but the great guys don't say ';I love you'; just like that and follows the girl all around town!

It should be heart felt. You must have your own fantasies, share it with your readers. Make them dream. And remember, ';There is an extraordinary love story in every ordinary couple.';
MOSTLY ROMANCE IS BASED ON THE NATURE YOU MUST EXPRESS LUSH GREEN BEAUTY,SNOW FALL,AND EXPLAIN AS MY LOVE IS LIKE RED RED ROSE...NATURE AND LOVE WILL BE MINGLED IT WILL BE THE GREATEST ROMANTIC STORY!!
Just start writing. Take your time and try to make things detailed. ';He ran fast'; will not keep someones attention.
dont write about sparkling vampires and make the story from the heart :)

good luck.
